Discharge Process – Sanjeevan Intensive Care Unit Pvt. Ltd., Satara
Once your treatment is completed, the discharge procedure must be followed carefully to ensure smooth settlement of your hospital bills and insurance claims. At Sanjeevan Intensive Care Unit Pvt. Ltd., Satara, our team guides you through every step to make the process hassle-free.
Getting Discharged – Important Steps
• Settle Excess Hospital Bills
If your final bill amount is higher than the approved insurance/TPA amount, you must pay the difference before discharge.
• Pay Non-medical Expenses
Expenses not covered under your insurance policy (e.g., consumables, admission kit, non-medical items) must be paid by you directly.
• Verify Bills & Prescriptions
Review all bills, prescriptions, and charges.
Ensure that you are not billed for any medicine or service that was not administered to you.
• Keep a Record of Your Final Bill
Note the total bill amount and keep the receipt for future reference, reimbursement, or documentation.
• Submit All Medical Documents
Before leaving the hospital, submit the following documents to the billing/TPA desk:
Lab reports
Claim forms
Discharge summary
Final bill
Any additional medical documents required by TPA
How the Bill is Processed by TPA
The hospital submits all required documents to your TPA (Third Party Administrator).
TPA evaluates the claim based on your policy eligibility and the actual treatment cost.
After verification, the TPA makes payment to the hospital and/or the patient, depending on policy rules and payable amounts.
Once the settlement is completed, the deposit amount paid during admission will be refunded, after adjusting any applicable deductions.
